To qualify for Wahkiakum PUD rebates all projects must obtain pre-approval before installing any energy efficiency measures.
Wahkiakum PUD is helping our residential customers reduce their electric bills and make their homes more comfortable through our Residential Programmable Thermostat Rebate Program. Heating is one of the most important aspects of a home and can also be the most expensive when not done efficiently. According to Energy.gov Energy Saver, by simply installing a programmable thermostat and creating a pre-set schedule on your thermostat when you are asleep or away from home can lower your electric consumption without sacrificing comfort.
Using a programmable thermostat, you can adjust the times you turn on the heating or air-conditioning according to your pre-set schedule. Many programmable thermostats can store and repeat multiple daily settings (four or more temperature settings a day) that you can manually override without affecting the rest of the daily or weekly program.
The Residential Programmable Line-Voltage Thermostat Rebate Program is available for use with resistance heat such as baseboard, fan-forced wall heaters or ceiling radiant heat. The Residential Smart Thermostat Rebate Program is available for use with a forced-air furnace, air source heat pump or ground source heat pump as the primary heating system.
